That's a NO to starter/dessert combo then

We often have Soup and a Pudding for tea, sometimes my O/H and eldest son(18) will be where's the meat! So if the budget can accommodate I will cook some chicken wings to go with it. I get them from the butchers and sometimes he'll give them me for free because he has too many (apparently not a lot of call for them).:think:0

My OH is the same, he'll eat whatever I give him, partly because he is so easy going where meals are concerned, but also because he can't cook so it's a case of eat what I give him or go without, lol! We mostly just have a main meal, never have starters and only rarely have desserts, but sometimes if we're not very hungry we will just have some soup and bread or cheese on toast.
Agree on the relief of an accomodating OH. Quite happy to eat cheese sandwiches endlessly if I'm having a bad day, or will eat anything put in front of him. Or graze if I have had a CBA day. Very lucky.GC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500 -
My OH will happily eat a 'stew' but for it to qualify it MUST have large chunks of meat, veg and dumplings! and served with slices of thick bread!, and about a gallon of leftovers in the pot so he can go for seconds or thirds! (you would NOT believe the size of pot I do the stew in!) think Catering size!
good thing I am welsh and a catering size cawl is my normal version of stew!0
