Calling UK Phones in other countries, from England, on Orange
Options
My girlfriend is currently away in Greece and I'm just curious how much it is costing me every time I text her and/or call her. I found out the default price for texting Greece is 20.5p, but I'm not sure if this is the case if I'm calling a UK mobile that happens to be in Greece? I'm with Orange and she's with O2. I do have 200 anytime any network minutes and unlimited free texts, will it use these or will it charge me? Will she be charged?

you pay the usual rate as though the phone were in the UK
She will be charged roaming rates to receive the calls/textsA kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
You have no way of knowing that a mobile happens to be abroad (if you didn;t know it was your girlfriend), so from your point of view you will pay the cost of calling a UK Mobile (using inclusive minutes if applicable), whereas she'll be charged with the inernational element of the call (which won't come out of her inclusive minutes).0

There is no extra cost for you to call or text her as long as you are in the UK and she is using a UK phone. She will pay to receive calls but texts are free to receive.0
