Right, another 10 items listed on eaby - still loads to go though. Am looking forward to pay day as am gettting my supply work pay - hopefully this should help my challenge total a bit! Things have been somewhat quiet on here - hope all is well with everyone!

Another 30.52 to add to the total. Does seem very quiet on here. Normally this thread is always on the front page of the dfw section.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0

I think people are finding this stage of the challenge quite difficult. The big money is made as the larger items are sold - this bit is a slog to get the motivation to continue.
On another note - not quite on subject, but almost!
We are opening a Coffee Shop on Saturday. Some of you will know that we make chocolate for a living - but this is a massive step, expanding the business and taking on two members of staff. The reason it is a bit relevant - because of what I have read on this forum and through the inspiration on this thread and others, we have managed to do a personal loan from us to the business for £2000. This has included money set aside for a legal battle with our landlord and all the savings from this challenge. I realise some will think it foolish - but I know we can pay the legal monies back before we need it in July and we haven't got a three year loan over our heads - I'm a bit chuffed!First Direct Loan @ 7.9% £13,076.03/£20,250

Hey - that's great! As long as you know where the new savings are going to come from I don't see a problem
What a fab thing to use the challenge money for
Good luck for saturday! Got the press roped in so that we could see some photos online?

Our local press are not much help - they are happy to sell advertising, but not to write any good news stories!!! We will take some photos ourselves and put a press release in as they will sometimes publish it if you do all the work for them!
I put a chain email out to everyone I know telling them about the new venture and asked them to pass it on through their contact list, so hopefully it will continue after the first round and act like ripples on a pond. I have heard back from a few of the 52 I emailed and they have emailed it on to many, many people through their contact lists. MSE marketing! It has cost nothing except time and goodwill.First Direct Loan @ 7.9% £13,076.03/£20,250

Thanks for that - the books are staying firmly at home for Amazon sales only - I'd never work out what was where otherwise! How are your book sales going?First Direct Loan @ 7.9% £13,076.03/£20,250

Sorry for not posting for a while, and for not making any money towards this challenge either as I have been AWOL for a couple of weeks. I haven't managed to increase my total as I have been too busy to devote much time to it...mainly due to night shifts and feeling knackered all the time. So my total is still £325.74, which makes me about £100 behind target at this point. However, I feel a bit more inspired and will try and get some stuff listed on Ebay to try and catch up. I don't know if it's worth listing stuff to finish on the Easter weekend though, as probably not so many people will be bothered with ebay at that time. I may just wait until the following week. Car boot sales around here start on 1st April, so I will be off out to look for some bargains if it is good weather.
By the way LeeBarton, good luck with your coffee shop enterprise (where is it by the way, just in case we are ever in your area we could always pop in for a coffee!)Bronze Challenge Total - £331.23
Weight loss challenge: target 1 stone, currently 3 lbs.0
