rather unbelievably I won £10 on the lottery tonight on a lucky dip, if I deduct the £1 stake can I put the £9 in my pot? I am not sure if we can include lottery winnings or not....
Smoke free since 16th December 2012
  • kezia i think you can include it if you take out the £1 you paid for the ticket.

the tickets i stoopidly bought for £93 sold for £65 so a £28 loss there!! ah well...hope they enjoy the concert!!

its fine to include lottery winnings as in essence you just did a bet with 8/1 odds (although more luck than betting on the football)

  • I found this on https://www.findextrawork.co.uk wondered if it would be of help to any of you -

ur latest find for extra work is test driving cars for cash or voucher payments. The new article can be found at http://www.findextrawork.co.uk/testdrivecars.php with information about undertaking this as a way of earning a bit of money or getting free vouchers. Within the article there is an offer until the end of March to test drive a car for a £20 Marks and Spencer voucher.

Can anyone remind me how you do a search on ebay to find out how much similar items have gone for? I know it's on here somewhere, but can't find it. Thanks!

    Edit - don't worry, I've found it.

I've listed another 23 books on Amazon this morning. But most of them, if they sell, will only go for 1p. Plus p&p. Planning to blitz ebay this pm. My last day away from the office so must make the most of it.

Well, only 1 of my 3 items ending on ebay today sold, so I'm 6 for 9 this week........ not bad really. The guy who wants a refund cos the phone I sold him is faulty is being a problem. Now he wants to keep the phone and for me to refund his money. No way I said, I'll refund your money, thats no problem, but I want that phone back. Now I just have to wait for him to reply....

Another £1.54 from an ebay sale here. We have several things listed now but nothing finishing for a few days and no mega-bids coming our way yet!

And the weekly £25 that I save by not having my cleaner any more can be added, as I cancelled her since starting this challenge.

Slowly but surely, but a long way to go yet!

ebay not going well this week, listed 12 items all finishing sunday and have no bids and only 2 items with one watcher each.
As an experienced ebayer, I did wonder about listing things in january, but i was encouraged by selling 6 things at the start of the month, and by other Olympiads sales. Hopefully some will sell and at least cover the listing fees.
