Ally - Thank you for starting us off, hope you feel better soon. I can't believe your ex did that to you! How horrid.

The debt was just the tip of the iceberg. There were dirty tricks too like:

*Coercing my boss into keeping me at work for a long shift so that the git could go home, take everything of any value, including the dog, and then disappear into thin air!

*Taking the mattress off the bed and then making the bed over the top of it so it looked liked the mattress was still there....so when I went to go to bed on my first night alone there was no mattress...just a bed frame.

*Hiding in a friend's house in a child's bedroom under a computer desk on the day of the great escape. I thought the git would go there and I was right! I went to get my possessions and the child later told me that the git was hiding from me.

*Trying to con our landlord out of a £500 security deposit when we'd never paid one as the landlord trusted us and was a friend of the family!

*Placing a fraudulent Housing Benefit claim with the local council. As soon as the git left I went straight to the council and told them. I also put it in writing to them. Then the git said that we'd got back together again and tried to claim Housing Benefit! The fraud team visited me. I showed them the empty wardrobe and empty second bedroom and bathroom etc and they left me alone with their sympathies.

    I'm over it now.:rotfl:
