I think you may not be able to tell easily, as US phones have ordinary local area codes allocated.

Out of the different subgroups defined by the next 3 digits after the 3 digit area code, I don't know whether some are reserved for mobiles.

But try the whole number on here, as it will often identify not only the area but also the provider
