buying currency off ebay

i cannot believe what i have seen , people are buying euros off ebay silly prices

example 15euros was up £16.00 and they wanted postage

check this out is madness , just a shame u cant message highest bidder and tell them how stupid they are

    It's for the same reason that gift vouchers sell for more than face value on eBay.

    It does seem crazy BUT where else could you buy 15euros for £16 and have them delivered.

    Delivery is free on first ones I looked at

    Maybe it is someone housebound wants them for a grandchild or similar

    If you use the travelmoneymaximiser the you can only get 12.94 euros deliverd for £16

    It's far more likely it's someone buying currency to empty a PayPal account without the need of a bank account. You see it all the time with gift cards selling for far more than face value.
