Hiring a Car in Spain: Insurance Question

Hello
I am looking at hiring a car in Spain for a week in August. Checking out the T&C's on the insurance, it seems there are certain things that are not covered, e.g. windows, tires etc as standard. As damage to these could be potentially quite costly, is anyone able to provide advice on how to get these covered? For example, would purchasing the excess waiver (which seems like a good idea anyway) cover it, or would you need to get additional insurance cover from a specialist?
Thanks in Advance.

looking at https://www.icarhireinsurance.com/ though, it seems I can get what I want for £20 and won't need to get the car rental company's excess waiver. have I got that right?0

Car hire companies usually offer the extra cover for between 3 and 5 euros a day.0

I'm probably tempting fate as I haven't paid to cover windows, tyres etc on a car we are hiring next month, but the way I look at it is how often, when driving your own car at home, do you suffer this kind of damage?
Personally it hardly ever happens...... famous last words0 -

Make sure you thoroughly check car over before you 'hit the road'.0 -
Hi
I have an annual policy with icarhireinsurance.com which I bought in November last year.
In January I had a little incident vs. a curb where I managed to damage a tyre on a Volkswagen Passat and was charged over £180 by Hertz for its replacement. I made a claim and was reimbursed within a month, 40 quid well spent I'd say.
If you purchase a hire company's own excess waiver insurance not only does it cost a fortune but it rarely covers damage to the windscreen, undercarriage or tyres - icarhireinsurance.com covers virtually everything and is excellent value.
I definitely recommend them.
Regards
