I let my husband have the names of the 'great' grimsby town players over the years (his fav team!), however I made it look girly by designing my own table name cards with pink butterflies to match my theme...his dad saw one of the old players from the early 90's (now out of work and looking for a new job at the job centre where my husbands dad works) and told him he was a table name at our wedding - he was very flattered lol!!

We got married in Blackpool so our tables were the heritage buildings - i.e. the Tower, Winter Gardens, North Pier, Pleasure Beach and Grand Theatre. I managed to get colour copies of some old programmes for the shows at these venues and we put those onto each table as table names.
  • Hi since my h2b,fil2b,bil and my late dad are F1 mad we are having tracks as our table names. We are printing the names onto nice card and Ive got a little race car sticker to go onto the card. Its not my first choice, but since this is one of the few things I gave h2b full responsibility for, and his other suggestion for table names were karma sutra positions, F1 race tracks seem like a good compromise!lol

I loved the herb garden! Parsley the lion et al. Monopoly streets is also very cool. I wanted to have scrabble letter racks with the table names or as place settings but it takes a lot of scrabble sets to get enough!

You can always get that kind of stuff on Ebay. We are using the actual Monopoly cards, so I bought a few sets online. They were all less that £5 a set (and some were brand new still in the wrapping) so we got 4 from various sources. So each table will have 4 of the cards set around it.

All for less than £30! Although I'd be slightly dubious about those tiles. The other sets on EBay are all a lot more expensive... but they are coming from Thailand. May not look as perfectly 'right', but for wedding table names would probably be fine.
