i have the same prob as Diamond...too pale brows and lashes. However, I never wear makeup, simply because I live in such an isolated place, what`d be the point? Not sure the chickens`d appreciate it. :D
But, returning recently from my fiance`s, I looked at the pics we`d taken and thought eek, I do look old! (I`m 50) so might start wearing some at least when I go out.
Trouble is with my age, my lids are like crepe and for some reason whenever I`ve tried mascara it ends up giving me panda eyes, even the so called waterproof stuff. :( Got skin like aged leather...too too many years outdoors in the sun....and want to avoid looking like mutton done up as lamb or looking like a clown. Wish there were sites online for helping middle aged women like me `do` the makeup thing....

I always suffered with panda eyes, I've tried EVERY mascara & finally found one that doesnt run. Borjoise clubbing mascara.

Another vote for the bourjois clubbing, it is unbudgeable (if that is even a word). I have found the recent ones of it I have bought have been thicker and a bit stickier than before but definitely one of the best on the market.

If you want brown (or brun as they call it) then Ebay - thats where I get mine.

If you wear black you can get it in Ebay (probably the cheapest place) or Boots/Superdrug.

Cor, not wear make up  I am erm, a senior citizen now (just) and I do my usual cleanse, tone and moisturise (Olay serum with Olay regenerist over the top) then my base then mascara, lippy and blusher. At night I cleanse, use a glycolic acid cream and then night cream over the top of it.

Couldnt feel relaxed if I was out without at least some make on :)

If you are young you should still make sure you have a good tinted moisturiser on every day.

Just to say that though I don't wear make-up I do make sure that I wear moisturiser with adequate sun protection.

  • I used to wear the lot when I was 17,and then face powder, eyeliner, eyeshadow, blusher and lippy in my 20's, 30's lipppy and eyeliner, sometimes mascara,

Now im 42 cant be bothered, but when I go out I wear Lippy and eyeliner and mascara thats if i don't dig out my eyes first:eek:
When I dont wear make up I feel totally liberated ,I thiink make up is a huge marketing ploy.
Its even better when people knock off about 10yrs off my age , I have a 18yr old and a 7yr old makes me not want to wear it at all :)
Don't sweat the small stuff, Its all small stuff.

I wear makeup around once a month if that and I am quite happy with the way I look. Often I find when I do wear makeup no matter how carefully I remove it I often end up with a skin break out.

I never wore make up because i had quite good skin but now i am in my early 30's i do think i should start wearing it as i am getting bad dark circles and my skin looks quite dull recently.

though i dont know how to start wearing it without being self concious. my work place is very cliquey and they notice this stuff and talk about the way people look. i am sure if i walk into the office wearing make up i wouldnt feel comfortable.

can anyone suggest what i can use to ease myself in and not be too obvious???
