Halifax Fixed Rate ISA maturity instructions

Has anyone had problems with maturing fixed rate ISAs with Halifax - specifically late arriving instruction forms?
I'm not one for conspiracies, but it seems to me that making it difficult to return instructions before maturity is a neat way of getting round the rate guarantee - particularly since rates have just dropped.

Yes it's a giant conspiracy that Halifax are sending out maturity forms late so they can get that little bit of extra interest.

In all seriousness, my maturity form came a bit before my stuff matured back in January. What does the date of the letter say?
