SS's 2007 Debt Free Challenge

Well, you all know that I don't like to blow my own trumpet (ooh madam) but I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself.
My 500 squid overpayment has cleared and tomorrow my loan payment clears so my debt is down to £18,171.51 which is nearly £800 off it in one go and leaves me not far from the £17k mark.
Got another £155.94 of payments to come off that by the end of the month but no doubt a bit of interest will be added on so I'm setting myself a mini-challenge to be sub £18k by the end of the month.
I reckon I can do it coz I've estimated I've got just over £300 leftover this month, but thats for petrol and everything else but I'm hoping I won't spend that! Wouldn't have had that bar a nice bit of earning from matched betting. Oooh thinking about it I've got more than that coz I've got some money tied up at bookie! :j
Anyways, I'm feeling chuffed with myself today so thought I'd have a little gloat!0 -

Also coz I'm bored;
I've reduced my debt by £16,096.49 or £766.50 a month (which will go up slightly coz I've included this month aswell).
Just think of what I've paid in interest though! :doh: :mad:0 -
Almost half way then, and a pretty fab performance.
And if you hadn't spent the money on interest you would only have wasted it on wine, women and song.......Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
