3 £20 early termination fee despite being out of contract

Have been on a rolling pay monthly (no contract) tariff with 3 for a few months, and recently used a PAC code to move away.

The final bill came this morning and I have been charged £20 early termination fee, despite not having a contract to terminate early.

Can anyone explain this?
Before I brave their call center again...

That would not be an early termination fee, it will be your standard 30 days notice for ending your contract.

If you look at your terms and conditions, you will see that you have to give 30 days notice for ending the contract which is chargeable.
