Some of those YoY values are quite large. does anyone know what the YoY figures were for the previous year?
Especially for the worst hit:

These figures make some of the rather more bullish headlines of late seem more like ramping than reporting the facts. I know there is lag in the land registry reports, but even if we have had a few "good" months since the LR's data was compiled, I think it's a bit early for "whoopee do" reporting.
Looking at the LR report, I see annual price falls as the main theme. Depending on you stance, that could be good or bad news. I happen to think that it's a fair reflection on the state of the economy, and I believe it is what the property market needs at the moment to bring prices back to a level where things can start to move forwards again.30 Year Challenge : To be 30 years older. No, you want/need prices to rise. Many others can see beyond their own personal "gain".
Anyway, I thought you said that "we" won't allow property prices to fall. It appears that some of you are allowing that to happen. Sibley, I think some of you are failing in your task.30 Year Challenge : To be 30 years older. Equity : Don't know, don't care much. Savings : That's asking for ridicule.0 -
