A common misconception. They're not legally bound to sell at the price displayed (although they can't deliberately mislead customers).

I was concerned after reading this as I often use this 3 for £10 offer and have had the gammon joints with it recently.

So I've just checked my receipts for Asda Morley (West Yorkshire).

15 July 2011, we bought, pork steak, Chinese pork and unsmoked gammon joint. The 3 for £10 discount shows at the bottom of the receipt, with £2 off.

22 July 2011, we bought 2 unsmoked gammon joints and a pack of 12 slices of thick bacon, again the offer shows at the bottom of the receipt.

I think that your Asda were wrong not to give you the £2 back as I feel that the gammon joints clearly SHOULD be part of the offer as they are on the same stack end and WERE included in the offer at Morley.

BTW we do eat other meats, I got a load of chicken and mince beef on offer at the begining of the year, and several sirloin steaks reduced to £1 each from M&S. Only got the second weeks worth of gammon as had space in the freezer, and it was lovely cooked in the slow cooker :rotfl:
