I use red or green lentils. Red ones tend to disintergrate which is good if you want to hide them. Otherwise I use green lentils which hold their shape well.

I add grated/food processed vegetables to most mince dishes. Carrots, onions, peppers, cougettes, squashes, mushrooms, tinned tomatoes & celery are all good and, of course, give you an extra portion of your 5 a day.

I bulk mine out with lots of veggies and lentils. I use 250g mince for the meal and my lot haven't noticed that there is less meat than veg.
I do the same with chicken - if you slice two chicken breasts and bulk out with veg they won't notice it works with all meats really.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

    Hi boredjellybean,

As your post has dropped off the front page of the Old Style board I've added it to another thread on mince portions and stretching it that should help.
