    Hello bugslet and FireWyrm (and everyone else!),

    I'm not a crocheter, but do quilting and knitting. The plan at the NEC tomorrow is just to go in search of inspiration, with camera and notebook. I DO NOT NEED FABRIC OR WOOL!

    I shall take a packed lunch etc, and a big flask of coffee, and NO money. (Well, I will have a note tucked away for emergencies - but seeing delectable bargains doesn't count!). Wish me luck!

    Today so far is a no spend, but may go to our craft group with DD tonight, and it's £3 sub each time.

    Have a good no-spend weekend everyone!

    Good luck.. You're a braver woman than me going to a big show at the NEC with no money....

    Going to pack up my lunch for tomorrow in a sec - nice homemade bread for sarnies - costs about 45p a loaf, but have ingredients already.

    Going to be a STRONG woman at the show - determined not to spend!

    Thanks Rictus for your inspiration, also everyone else - we must support each other!

    Didn't go to craft group after all - DD asked me over for a meal instead, as she and the family go on hols tomorrow - so I didn't spend the £3.

    Moths not escaping from my purse today!

  • Right, I'm quite proud of this one... :j

    Went to IKEA yesterday, and spent nothing. woo-hoo!

    I had a voucher for a free duvet set I got from a magazine (before spending nothing), and I used my family card to get a coffee. Totally admit I was carrying a yellow bag around with shopping in it, but I managed to put it down and walk away before getting to checkout.

    So I got a free duvet and pillowcases and coffee, and didn't spend any money. Phew. :beer:
    challenges : AFD : SNC :
    Ebay/ Amazon : £29 + £6 +

    That is self control and very good self control at that!! Got new tyres on my van, needed 4 and since i will be getting rid of my car i kinda needed them...and quick!! So got a good deal off someone i know, 4 tyres for just under £140...Il total up all spends end of month and make sure all are NEEDED. I feel tyres are also needed so i am sure i can be let off with them?! Even though no spend day so far and worked till quater past 2.

    Payday Friday, bring it on and il see how much i get for my last 2 weeks work...some of it is being held back to cover lost days pay in December and January.

    Should be at least another £1,200 though.

    My outgoings

    £10 overdraft fee
    £100 digs
    £240.30 car payment
    £330.62 loan payments
    £185.86...tyres and parts for van(had to be spent)

    Total = £866.78

    Income so far
    £1,208.63

    Forecast outgoings now - month end
    around the 30th
    £45 phone bill
    £45 fuel(+ £45 from in balance credit card = tank of fuel for van)
    total = £90

    Forecast income
    19th = £1,200

    total income = £2,408.63
    total out = £956.78.

    Difference = £1,451.85....Will clear smallest loan and take loan payments down £48.06 a month....will also pay holiday for next month. Amazing what this little challenge is doing PLUS iv got new tyres on van and a new battery for it!! Had to spend it but means i wont have to spend it next month...im going to try this challenege again but on a smaller scale and just have a 28 day no non esstentials days so the other 2 days i can buy but il be on a strict budget!!!

    The difference figure is well and truely motivating me even more now....almost half way already :D:j
