aol - options and queries

I am with aol with bt phone line and calls. I am looking to do a MSE make over on my service and see what the best option is for me. I am nervous about cutting off from AOL. I am pretty sure that with bt and aol my contracts have lapsed so I should be ok.

I've been with AOL for years.

my husband hates IT most of the time and he doesn't do change that easily especially when it concerns IT.

He needs to keep his email address. So I am thinking that he can use his aol email over the internet.

I don't think i can get all the email functionality through the internet client ?

Basically I am wondering what I am going to miss out on in terms of email functionality if I go down this route of ditching AOL.

Is there anything I can do to try and make this move easier?

Not having to deal with overseas call centres would be a bonus, they should put that as a criteria when you are searching for a new provider.

thanks

You'll lose your AOL address if you switch away, although it may not happen immediately. Use a Gmail address instead-that makes your address ISP-free forever and takes 10 minutes to set up.

Wrong, AOL email is for life, i left AOL in 2007 and still use it,as long as you sign in after you've moved you can keep the email address.
You don't even need to be an Aol customer any more to use their email.
