Bought a pair of trainers £70 from fitness footwear in july, thay werent suitable and they give you 356 days to return them!!! I only took a couple of weeks.
Sent them back recorded delivery, they are still unsigned for because the company has ceased trading, so no idea where my trainers are.
I am £70 out of pocket, have called the PO CC customer services who have advised me to send a copy of the recorded delivery receipt to their dispute dept and they will be in touch.
Anyone know where is stand

Can you phone royalmail and have the parcel returned? Your credit card company will cover you.
Why do they give you 356 days to return the item? No wonder they are no longer in business :shocked:0 -

having it returned is a possibility but I dont want them as they are no good
CC will cover me for what? I am about to send a letter to CC comapny expalining the situation0 -
as you paid by CC you will be able to contact them for a Section 75 chargeback but you will be best placed to ring the CC company and explain the situation to them - they may require you to wait a period of time until they can process it - especially as you have had the product but its currently in limbo with the PO0

It won't be a section 75 claim as the order is under £100. It would have to be a chargeback instead.0 -
Even going down the chargeback route isn't guaranteed to get the OP their money back.
A chargeback is only really for situations where the goods haven't arrived or were not as described, neither of which is the case here.
The card issuer may well state that as an inappropriate postal service was used (one which wouldn't cover the full value of the goods if they were lost).
Another point to bear in mind that for a chargeback to be successful, the card issuer must be able to claim the money back from the retailer. If as in this instance the retailer is no longer in business, a chargeback may well not be possible.
Unlike a Section 75 claim, chargebacks are not enshrined in law and it is up to the credit car companies if they will attempt these.0 -

I do think the goods were not as described, ie I think the insole was faulty.
Admittedly the postal service didnt cover the full value but it did cover about 60% of the value.
I have written to the PO CC dispute centre so I will await their reply.
A chargeback is unlikely I guess as they are no longer trading, so going by your post I have lost my money and my goods (although as stated I dont want them back anyway as they are no good to me)0
