News on energy price increases
Comments
-
Scottish and Southern held off a second iincrease in 2006 and so are now simply catching up with what other companies did months ago. The same applies to British Gas's click energy, although they didn't announce their price increase with as much notice as Scottish and Southern so benefited from prominent placing on switching sites. Gas guardian was a capped price deal that was guaranteed until 2007, so will now be expiring. Many companies have capped price deal coming to an end over the next few months including British Gas and I beleive Powergen do as well.0

and they will make use of this lag to make sure that whatever decrease we get it will be miniscule as they will be hoping that everyone has forgotten that the price of energy has gone down by more.lisyloo wrote:I think prices will be falling from about spring onwards.
However energy is bought in advance so energy being used now was bought at prices several months ago.
Therefore there will be a lag before they fall.0
