Candy gas hob

Hi, I have searched the forums but can't find any similar problems so I thought I'd post here to see if anyone has had any similar problems...
We bought our house in Feburary and had our new a new Magnet kitchen fitted in March; the gas hob and electric oven came as standard, I appreichiate it isn't the most expensive hob, as it came with the kitchen, however, since we had the cooker fiftted the writing has started to rub off the hob.
In the beginning I though perhaps it was my fault as I used kitchen spray and a cloth to wipe the hob clean, but since then I only use a damp cloth and the writing has continued to rub off.
The hob works absolutely fine and I have no issues whatsoever with it as an appliance, apart from the fact that the writing has more or less dissappeared, and it's only 4 months old!
So, who do I contact first, Magnet or Candy? Any advice would be appreichiated before I go complaining! Would this come under the warranty? Apart from what I suppose is a health and saftey issue, it doesn't affect the hob from working?
Thanks in advance!

Why would the writing rubbing off, be classed as a Health and Safety issue?
What does the writing say?0 -
Hiya, sorry that was bit unclear, It's not really writing, it's the little diagrams that show which ring on the hob is being used.0

Because if the OP "thought" they'd turned on the Left Hand ring but in fact turned on the right hand one and subsequently burned themselves by touching an area they thought was cold...?Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Again, sorry, if I was unclear, I thought anything to do with the writing on a hob rubbing off would be classed as health and safety, reguardless of the health and safety aspect it's only 4 months old, does anyone have any suggestions who I should contact first?0

Magnet, you 'bought' it from them. It says Parkinson Cowan on my cooker...so that's not a health and safety problem if it comes off.0

Thank you!! That's who I thought I should ring first, I'll ring them tomorrow. thanks0
