Anti-histimanes are the only thing that will give me any relief.
I'm sure if you give DD the options of; suffer, messy creams applied frequently or one tablet she will see sense

Piriton causes drowsiness - 5 year old would be ok with cetirizine or loratadine (both non drowsy) once a day instead of piriton 2 or 3 times a day. All come in syrup form which tastes really nice actually! Don't know why anyone would refuse something that tastes like that. Unless you want to make the kid sleep of course.
And ask for the generic/own brand version (piriton = chlorphenamine) - no point paying for a brand that's identical.

Bags of ice on it!
I get prickly heat that turns into blisters, piriton helps but anything cold is a god send. I can't go out in the sun without long sleeves or it appears and takes ages to heal up
