Dont you think ebay is strange. I put an item on there last night that had not sold as I had put it on twice before. Within ten minutes it had a bid, very strange.

I guess what we have to remember with Ebay is that there are loads of people who don't look at it regularly, so the person who wants your[STRIKE] old piece of junk [/STRIKE] lovely item may not have bothered, or thought about looking on Ebay for a couple of weeks, then will have a browse this week and spot it to bid on.
It's always worth relisting and relisting because chances are someone, somewhere will want it sometime!! And if it's free to relist then you have nothing to lose.
I am going to look what books are in the box in the garage to list on Amazon. I have never listed on Amazon before.

Amazon is dead easy to list so don't worry about it. Tonnes quicker and simpler than Ebay, and no need to worry about photos :D
Their fees are higher, but still worth it for a box of stuff in the garage that at the moment it earning you nothing! Just check the seller fees, and postage (this is automatically set by Amazon), and work out how much it will actually cost to post and make sure you set it at a price that will make you a profit.
There are business type sellers on Amazon who don't have to pay the same fees, and can price things at 1p, however if we did this as a normal seller, after fees you can lose money :(

Amazon is great as well as things stay on there for ages even if they don't sell, so no relisting every week :D

    Debt-free and Proud!
Good Morning all! I woke up this morning thinking omg its august and i have joined the £10 per day challenge.......how am i going to make £10 today???Its great that its motivated me already but not quite sure where to start.....

I think its because i'm feeling a bit low today as i missed my usual car boots over the weekend - i opted instead for a charity craft fair on Saturday which was pretty rubbish profit wise (for me anyway) and it was a lovely sunny day, so it would have been perfect for the carboot! Then yesterday was wet so no carboot then either :( am hoping for better weather so i can do the ones later in the week :)

I do have some payments due from my surveys tomorrow and a few others are close to cashing out as well so they will certainly help with the month total :)

As i'm a complete newbie to this i'm not quite sure how to record earnings but i'd like to only count money actually received! So do we record what we have done each day to earn?

Today i would like to complete my PTC site clicks and maybe a survey or 2 as well :) I am also going to have a look at my ebay account and see what i can list - unfortunately my account has been limited to only 10 listings a month so thats not going to make me too much - but every little bit counts right?

I may think of some more stuff later, but thats the plans for now! LOL so i have no money in yet but am taking action at least

Oh and i managed to get a signature sorted :rotfl:

I'm in again this month. Need to make a whopping £18 a day, so we can pay for the stove installation in September. Off we go!

£7.76 just transferred from Crowdology into Paypal, and have included it in about £60 that I have just requested to be withdrawn to the bank (but that has already been counted when it was made from Ebay!)

They must have changed their withdrawls now as I remember the first few times I withdrew I built the money up and transferred £30 ish in one go. Now, if I have over £7.76 it will only transfer that amount at a time. A few weeks ago I'd built up again about £30, and had to do it in 4 lots of £7.76. Bit odd?!?

My first time on this challenge too, and I'm not sure I'm going to make it but will certainly try. Things might be a bit quiet for the first week, but then I should have lots of ebay auctions ending to (hopefully) cover me for the rest of the month, and catch up for a slow start.

That is, if I manage to sort out a claim made against me as a non-paying bidder and don't get my account suspended! It's very frustrating as I paid for a book imeediately via Paypal, and received a receipt but for some reason the purchase did not get marked as paid, and I received an email from ebay to say that I still hadn't paid. The money has definitely gone out of my account to the seller but there was some breakdown between the Paypal/ebay systems I think. I have sent about 5 emails to the seller but they have not responded at all and even left me good feedback(!) and now they have reported me as a non paying bidder! I emailed them, and ebay again last night so we shall see. The seller is a business seller seeminly selling hundreds if not thousands of second hand books per day internationally, and so understandably relying on these systems working to manage so many sales, but you'd think that they could check their emails at least once a week!

I had a rubbish month last month so will have another try this month for £10 a day. Am trying to get my head around Amazon as I have some DVDs to be rid of, I also have books but as some are first editions I may flog those through other channels. I have stuff to ebay as well including the wakeup light from Philips that I got from Bzzagent.
