Thanks Karma, I do feel really blessed at present, lots of good things happening large and small. If my luck holds, I'll be bringing Bollinger down to yours on 13 FebTotal debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

Hello Sea! The Panto was pretty bad really, but I suppose it's meant to be. Unusually I had actually heard of one of the so-called celebrity stars - Kirsten O'Brien from CBBC, who gave a game performance. The kids really enjoyed it.
I'm just bracing myself to go into town for another bout of shopping. DD3 needs shoes as hers have a big hole in the sole. I want to go through my spending diary and see how much I have spent on kids' shoes this year - must be a small fortune! I also need to buy a present for my niece, what can I give the four-year-old who really does have everything?
Hope you're well and reaping the benefits of your well-planned Christmas preparations.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -

Thanks for the tip, Sea. I went straight to ELC and found the keepsake box kit, then bought the thing next to it on the shelf - make your own notelet thingies, I thought they might be useful for her thank you letters!
Xmas shopping all done now - Phew! Except for the turkey. There is a stand off going on between my OH, who is cooking the Xmas lunch and can't stand turkey, and my parents, who can't countenance anything different on Christmas day. I'm not getting involved.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -

this made me laugh! I can imagine them each with their favourite meat in hand, back to back pistols at dawn style.
But I think it is a good idea for you not to get involved, BUT are you not running out of time to get ANY good meat if they keep this up?!
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Claim to fame time.....Kirsten O'brien (of panto fame!) has been on one of our bouncy castles, when we hired it to the BBC. Also on the same bouncy castle that day was one Billie Piper - as a 15 year old pop startlet!!
Good news that the cheque came through early - that will take more pressure off :T
I hope you keep your eyes out for Bollinger on BOGOF........:DSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

The stand-off is over and my parents won, OH came back from Sainsbury's last night with a huge turkey.
I have a friend coming over for coffee this morning and we're going out to lunch with other friends. In between I want to get this house as tidy as I can. I really liked the '7 things' approach mentioned on Hypno's thread yesterday and am going to tidy up in batches of 7. Starting now with no. 1: get dressed and no. 2: wrap friend's present.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
