We always go with Parkdean - some parks are better than others but all are clean and well maintained - the kids entertainment is excellent - you will have a great time!!!0

We did Mullion 2 years ago, again, i`d NEVER go back. We stayed at Warmwell 6 (ish) years ago, but was Haven then. We were in a chalet literally right on the lake! was amazing considering it was only a sun holiday! Have fun

I've been to Trecco Bay, Pendine Sands, and Holywell Bay a few times, for weekend surf breaks with Parkdean, and never had a problem.
The caravans have always been clean and contain everything needed, the park's themself have had easy access to the beach, staff have always been friendly and there's usually something to do in the evenings.
I remember one time I went with a mixed group, and originally got allocated a caravan with a single shower/toilet, which would have been a bit awkward for the 8 of us. We contacted Parkdean to see if we could upgrade and they put us in a better caravan with seperate shower/toilet facilities for free!0 -
I lived in dorchester for nearly 30 years if your looking for beaches you have weymouth, durdle door is great although not so brilliant with a buggy lulworth is also great. One problem is Weymouth is not so great if you like a beach with space as it will be packed although it is a lovely beach with loads of stuff to do along the prom.
If ur looking for days out locally Monkey world is a must, bovington tank museum, sea life centre although i think is really dated in weymouth, tutankhamen museum in dorchester is also good, although wont take u a full day. Swanage is not far and that is lovely also u have a ferry at sandbanks and also brownsea island they will come up if u google them and are both great.
I would say Weymouth is a nightmare for driving at the moment as they are doing major road improvements for 2012 olympics we were there a couple of weeks ago and u need patience lol Dorchester is also a nightmare for parking but is a quaint county town but to be honest not a lot to do there.
You will have a great time i use to work in the bar at warmwell many moons ago and the site is nice although rather old now but nice size swimming pool and ski slope.
Hope u have a great time and am sure u will0 -
We've been to Ruda twice and loved it both times, lots to do nearby too.0

we stayed in warmwell a few times (used to be a haven, now parkdean), chalets are nice-fairly big (we could get 2 travel cots in the lounge area with space around them). Fairly small park in comparison to some, so this makes it nicer for the kids in the evening as they get to know the staff well for activities and you can safely see your children when in the entertainment complex. Restaurant on site and swimming pool with little slide and wave machine, small kids playarea indoors and then roller skating rink too.
Great base for exploring also. The other parkdean site down the road, sandford is bigger and more lively in the evening, but to be honest we enjoyed going to warmwell as much as sandford. in fact wish i were at either now!!Mortgage free 04/03/2025. Thanks to this site and lots of overpayments bit by bit.
Next stop: house repairs, holiday fund, replace our very old cars, more financial security/early retirement savings.🤞0 -
Parkdean's West Bay Holiday Park right next to a lovely harbour and 2 mins walk from the beach. Park not to big to be very busy, but big enough to enjoy yourselves. Nicely located to visit the surrounding area 20 Mins drive from Lyme Bay and 30 mins drive from Weymouth (although with what a previous psoter says maybe longer to get to Weymouth).
Big tip look for private owners who hire their caravans, you normally pay a lot less than for the site fleet caravans. Plus the owners take more pride in their caravans so they are cleaner and with a lot more within the caravans than the site provides in theirs.0 -
I've been to Warmwell twice -most recently last year and we loved it. We went on a sun deal and had a fantastic lodge with a three bedrooms, massive bathroom, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. we were by the lake and you could have a lovely walk down there and feed the ducks and the kids loved the entertainment. My mum and dad have been twice too and stayed in the top of the range lodge which they said was superb.HSBC Visa-High interest-£2349.23 Nat West £2605.18
