Parkdean

Can anyone who has been to a Parkdean park share their experiences, good or bad. We have booked to go to Dorset next June and it looks good.

We usually do Haven which have been a bit hit and miss, so am hoping for a good week.

I stayed at Warmwell for a short break a couple of years ago, thought it was very good. The accommodation (chalet) was a bit dated but was spacious andadequately heated. Th facilities however was excellent, the childrens entertainment I thought was very good and started a little it earlier than the haven ones do (which I find quite late for my younger kids).

Thats good - we have paid quite a bit to stay in a premium chalet so I hope it will be okay. Is there alot to do in the area?

We stayed at the Newquay Holiday Park a few years ago and it was great. Miniture golf course, crazy golf, great outdoor pool complex and plenty for the kids.

    We had a great time.

We booked the following year at the Holywell Bay Park, also in Newquay .. but after driving overnight from the North East, we took one look at it, very crowded and decided we didn't like it. this being at about 06:30.

We drove to the Newquay Holiday Park, just a handful of miles away and waited for the office to open. We pleaded to be allowed to change our booking and were delighted to be told yes.

    You'll love your holiday ...

We were actually camping, but the kids made friends with children from the caravans and the ones we were in, all seemed very clean.

Great, its so nice to hear positive things because some of the Trip Advisor reviews are a bit alarming.

Hi we stayed at newquay holiday park in 2009 and enjoyed it, would have gone again this year but trying to save for a campervan. Also we've stayed on a lot of haven sites and think they've gone a bit down hill in the last few years.
  • You will love Parkdean, we have been going to Parkdean sites over the last 6 years. we have just come back from a sun holiday at parkdean Torquay and Parkdean Looe bay. Both sites are clean, lovely caravans, great swimming pools. The entertainment is fabulous with sid and lizzy, the cuddly characters. My kids love it! they are aged 8 & 6. We have never been disappointed at a parkdean site!:rotfl:

Last year we did mullion never again, bearing in mind when we booked they new we would be taking a 6 month old baby with us at the time of the holiday, and we was going in the last week of october so chances were it would be at best chilly, they charged us at least £70 to upgrade, telling us we had to upgrade to guarantee getting a caravan with heating it:eek:, quite a few years ago we did ruda and absoloutely loved that one, the difference between the 2 was night and day, so hopefully yours will be like the latter and not the former
Take every day as it comes!!

Have been to Warmwell and Trecco Bay in South Wales and had a great experience.

We have been to Warmwell quite a few times and love it. The lodges were comfortable and well equipped, the entertainment was good and for something different try the ski slope.
