Some groupon deals are good. Some aren't. Life isn't as black and white as 'all groupon deals are crap' or 'all groupon deals are amazing'...it just doesn't work like that.

I've had good deals from there, and deals which turned out to have been a rip off. Need to be more vigilant!

No such word as "Cant"-- try and see-you might be suprised!

Actually, there is the word cant. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/cant

I think you might be meaning can't.

    What I do is this:

    1) Some restaurants have their own 50% off anyway published on their website etc.

    2) Check they are not on TasteCard etc if you have one.

After that, go for it especially if its got good reviews.

I know one Indian restaurant that missold their Groupon. They advertise X percent off and your meal includes a,b,c,d. However, when you get there you know you can't possibly get to the value they had advertised at. And they do small things like have a separate Groupon menu or tell you you can only select from certain columns. They tell you its not rice AND naan but just rice OR naan. Had to complain to Groupon. Loved the food - disliked the dishonesty.

In general, any food that could ultimately become buffet food, e.g. Indian's, Chinese etc, you may be better off not going for the Groupon.

However, others that offer a whole fish or steak, tend not to be table to buffet those types of meal as they are expensive. So even if the discount is less, you're getting pretty good value.
