not happy with argos

Options
hi

not very happy with argos today, i reserved online a nunchuk for our wii at a local argos yesterday morning, went this morning to fetch it and was told that i had cancelled it, er no i dont think so, these are really hard to find at the mo, so spoke to the manager (assistant) who said that someone had cancelled our reservation, anyway they had two in but both reserved, one was reserved for a customer and one for the store manager, mmm, the assistant manager decided to sell the managers reserved nunchuk to us, we did here one of the other assistants saying "he's not going to be pleased as there were no others instock anywhere near us".

the assistant manager would not tell us who had cancelled my reservation but i dont think it take too much guessing.

at least we did get it in the end but i would not have been pleased if i had driven miles to find them out of stock.

very disappointed with argos and shall probably email them of the situation although we did get our goods, so not too angry.

I wouldnt have a clue how to cancel a reservation - think it would have to be done from their end? And yeah my guess is same as yours - the manager had done it for himself!

i would not have minded if it had been for something that was avail everywhere like a pack of batteries but these nunchuk things are really hard to find at the mo.

I don't think you can cancel a reservation! you reserve it and either you pick it up or you don't, there is no option to cancel.

Glad you got one in the end though.

Also twice before christmas I had my reserved item sold to someone else. Both times they were hard to find items . The worse thing is the customer service, they really do not care in the slightest.

You can't cancel a reservation AFAIK, it just expires in 24 hours.

I think they were feeding you a load of twaddle.

You can if you ring up but clearly that is not the case here.
