I have just spent 19.36 minutes on an 0870 number to Argos.
Started with 2 emails which were never answered I was told they are about 8 days behind, its been 10 days since my first email!
I was over charged, the 4th C/S rep. agreed. The shop girl did embarrass me!
The answer, 'go into the shop see the manageress and she will sort it! Thanks for your call!'
I really am amazed at being treated like this. 'Gobsmacked' is probably a better word.
What is my next step? Go into the shop and pick up the money they owe me!!
Some [sensible] suggestions please. Angry but a bit bemused!!!

I never dial 0870 numbers. I look up the number and use my free minutes on my mobile.

Did you try going into store first? - that should always be your first port of call for any problem you have anywhere - always best to talk to someone face-to-face.
I guess this isn't sensible advice for this instance - but good for the future.
