Is Sky worth it

Currently Line Rental with BT
Internet with PlusNet

I am a Sky Worlds Subscriber and there are so many good deals on adverts around moving everything to sky. I'm actually tempted.

Is it worth it? Have seen some bad threads on other forums about people a bit miffed with the service.

Thanks
Shane Jones

The Sky LLU broadband is excellent. The BT based Sky Connect is reckoned to be poor and I suspect that most of the gripes you've seen are about that. The 2GB limit on the free product is too limited for most people.

Check http://www.samknows.com/broadband/search.php If it says Sky/Easynet LLU are available to you then you should be OK unless the Sky kit is full up.

I'd guess that Plusnet support would be a lot better than Sky should that be a consideration - ADSL is usually pretty reliable.

Yeah, provided it's not their connect service it's great. I've had it for over a year now and it has been faultless.

Just wish I had their N router.

Have had no issue with Sky BB since moving from Virgin, I opted for the BB unlimited package. The speed is reasonable and wireless connection to the router is good.
The phone service is fine too, no big advantages, but no disadvantages neither. Reasonable service all round and at a competitive price.
  • Thinking I'm going to make the move will wait until my holiday though as I don't think i'll be able to cope with 2 weeks offline (not a facebook addict, need internet for work honest ;) )
