Hi all,
Long term reader but first time poster - just a tad nervous! I managed to pay off my credit card debt a few months ago, but seem to not be able to get through the month without putting a little more back on it, so want to try and cut back to the bare essentials to try and build up some savings and live within my means!
Today I have...- Driven my boyfriend's car to work as mine is broken - using his fuel!
- Been to collect parts for my car so boyfriend can fix mine, saving garage costs - and saved a whole penny as the shop didn't take cards for less than £10 and I only had £9.18 rather than £9.19 - love little shops like that!
- Posted Ebay parcel and checked Paypal money
- Posted old mobile phone and checked that cashback has tracked
- Checked bank balance
- Ate lunch from stores
- Read the weekly email:money:
- Return stuff to Next on my way home from work - and not look at the shelves!
- Work out what bills are coming out of the bank account and transfer the rest into ISA
- Not spend any more money!

Evening all,
Well today is the last day before payday which is tomorrow.
Not quite enough funds left to get the train so drove as fuel left in the car from July's budget and parked for free as then walked a 20 mins walk to the office.
So I then used the money I did have left to pop to Mr M on my way home spent £3.31 but managed to get cereals, milk, choccie bars, coleslaw, 2 * kievs - was quite impressed with that have moved down to try Morrisons value cornflakes and coleslaw ( the second which was lush I had it for tea ) so hope the cornflakes are ok too.
Was very impressed with that shopping trip.
Did library trip at lunch and other than Mr M did not spend anything else today well couldnt as nothing else left to be honest
Thanks again for you all being so welcoming, K x0 -
