Happy Hump Day fellow small thingers!
Hope you are all well today? Today is payday (thank goodness!) and I got to the end with cash in my wallet (all of about a fiver, but hey!) and 89p in the bank. I treated myself to a payday coffee and transferred the rest into my savings account (I'm putting money away for xmas before making extra payments onto my cc, otherwise i know I'll end up overspending in dec and putting more on my cc, it makes sense to do it this way i think).
today I have/will:
-lunch and snacks from stores and magic bottom drawer
-same with drinks
-check onepoll (£35.05) pigsback etc
-applied for a Mystery shopping job, my first one!
-all searches through swagbucks, clicked on affiliate link
-staying in at lunch so as to avoid the shops!
- do the payday shuffle tonight
-go for a walk after dinner with OH
-buses with bus pass
Think that is everything, WW I'm so sorry to hear about your iminent split, I hope you are ok, Stitchy enjoy grandma day
xxxClicking, searching and surveying my way to a life of debt freedom!

hello peoples
Having a mini lightbulb moment again today. Just wanna get some debts down as I have kinda plateau'ed in the debt busting so today I have:
Cut up my credit card - leaving the account open but bringing the balance down to 0. This is in prep for buying plane tickets for South Africa next year - need to do it on Credit for the protection but promise to pay it off in full. I should get a new card in Feb but this is the only way I can stop spending the minimum payments!!
I am constructing a spending diary - don't really know where to start other than opening up my online banking and seeing what damage has been carried out over the month - decided I spend too much on charity donations (Race for life, my cousin doing a trek up a mountain for my late Grandad etc etc) - ruddy stupid I know considering I am a bit of a charity case myself! Good ol' liberal guilt I guess!!
I plan to put savings in my account and NOT TOUCH THEM!! I figure by knowing what is needed in my account for bills etc I also know how much is 'mine' for the month. Thus not having to pull it out of my savings!!
Other things I am doing today:
Walking up to the shop (about a mile up hill!) to get some milk for work
Researching more for my wedding blog's next post
Go to second job
Keep to diet (I HAVE to see 86kg on Friday HAVE TO!!)
Think that's about it - roll on payday!! xxxLife is too short not to love what you do.0 -

Hi everyone,
I got a letter notifying me of my payrise today...I know I should be very grateful that I get one at all as people across the Country are being laid off or taking paycuts, but honestly I'm a bit bummed...it was 1% which equates to just under £200 a year extra
Working in accounts payable, I know full well just how much they spend on needless fines because some so & so whose 1% payrise will probably be half my annual salary didn't get their paperwork in on time, & big fancy balls/dinners/parties for various staff members excluding me & my fellow colleagues so less than £200 seems really stingey to me!
Welshwoofer - I'm so sorry to hear about your relationship, I hope you really are ok & not just saying that! *Hugs*
Stitchy - Enjoy your Grandma day
Tebheag - Why on earth were you stuck on the M42?! That sounds awful, hope you manage to get some rest

Good afternoon from a very sunny lancashire.
Today i have:
checked banking.
Walked 3 mile round trip to Tesco, buy less as i have to carry it and its free exercise.
use £4.50 in vouchers in Tesco
Done a few surveys.
TO DO:
Make lasagne from stores.
Do MORE surveys.
Wrap ebay parcel to post tomorrow using jiffy bag that something was delivered in today.
Sit out in sunshine reading library book, as both are free.0 -
*Checked my driving licence is still in date after reading Martin's message which said "1.7 million have expired licences. Photocard driving licences started in 1998, the photo needs renewing every 10 years. Those driving on expired cards risk a £1,000 fine, the update costs £20. Check the 4b date for expiry." Apparently the DVLA don't notify people their licences are due to expire.
*Went to the Walkers "Sensations Crisps" Facebook page, clicked Like, printed off a 50p off coupon. One in three entrants get a totally free bag.
*Went to Lemsip's Facebook page to try to win a prize. No luck!
*Ordered a free Colour Catcher (One of those things you put in the washing to allow you to wash whites and colours together) from:
http://www.colourcatcher.co.uk/component/user/register#content
*Worked really hard at work today so that (a) I keep my job (b) I earn my bonus.
*Unlike all the companies I Liked last week for Freebies on Facebook.
*Try to find coupons for cleaning products.
*Paid an extra £10.02 off Credit Card 1.
*Dried undies for tomorrow on a sunny windowsill.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -
