    Afternoon all
Well no crisis from DD today so I have managed to weed the the front garden, blitz the kitchen, tidy & dust the living room, go to the butchers to buy rhubarb & fish, no meat though, lol.
I've made some crumbles, rhubarb & mixed fruit, rhubarb & ginger jam, i may have a bash at ginger beer tomorrow.
I have the cd of our wedding music blaring out as I know the neighbours are at work, I felt quite sorry for the JW who knocked on the door to be greeted by a mad woman with flour up to her elbows & a pair of black holdups round her neck, bopping energetically to 'Build me up Buttercup' who insisted on explaining her Wiccan beliefs to him. He probably won't be back.
    Hugs Hester

    Hi
I don't normally have much to say but I do enjoy reading what everyone is up to,
Empy Re: Flapjacks I have found this recipe works really well
    Preheat oven to 190 c
    150g butter
    50g golden caster sugar
5tbsp of golden syrup (add a little more if you like them sticky)
    275g oats
Melt the butter, suagar and syrup in a pan, add the oats and mix well.
Press into a greased tin (I use baking parchment as well, as my tins aren't very non stick) and bake in the oven for about 10 minutes until golden.
    Then enjoy!!!

    Hello Old Stylers x
Stressful morning here today. Trouble with eldest son again:( Lots of tears (from him and me). Really wish I could help him but will keep on trying to the best of my ability.

No OS to speak of except two loads of washing and have wrapped DS3 presents. Hopefully might see Mooloo later. Hugs x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Hello everyone!!!

Boys are at a football coaching club today and tomorrow and Friday (YIPEEEEE!) good friend came yesterday and whilst the children created havoc, we attacked the garage! So today I've attacked the dining room, my bedroom, bathroom and the hall. Tonight (whilst the children sleep hopefully!!) I'll finish off the sitting room / conservatory as it looks like a bomb has gone off. Washing machine on again and washing out. Have to plough through the washing pile (currently overtaking my sofa!) and make a start on my ironing pile. Got a friend coming with OCD tomorrow - hence the reason I'm trying to get everything cleared so we can both relax. Right better get off and get a bed into my fiesta (fun times!) and pick the boys up. Swimming tonight, so tea from the freezer. Hugs to needy peeps.
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

    Afternoon

back to work for me tonight :( so I will be heading back to bed soon.

but today I have put another load in the WM and it's out on the line since it is lovely and sunny here today. I've also ironed the pile of clothes that were slowly taking over the living room.

The rest of the house is okay it could be far tidier but I am happy enough with it.

Well after starting to post again I wont be one for the next few days because of work but will be back at the weekend.

I've had a similar epiphany. I saved a whopping £400 on my credit card bill last month (which is a cashback CC for just for groceries, petrol and necessary stuff for kids) It was a great feeling, but I also felt a little down at how much I must have been wasting over the years.

Good luck on your thrifty future!
