    Good morning,

I need to spend some time in the garden today too. Lots of things need cutting back before they obliterate other things, and there are weeds to be got rid of. I also need to clean upstairs and clean the filter in the fish tank. I also need to make more cakes as although I made a birthday cake yesterday, that is for a friend. Our own cake tin is nearly empty and the house elf is not keen on shop bought cake.

Salad for dinner tonight as it's "weigh day" tomorrow. Every little helps :rotfl:

Tru there's a spare bed here if you get fed up of slumming it. I wonder how long it will take for them to realise. My quote to ds on the subject is "M is for mum, not maid".

    Take care all of you

    Morning my lovelies :D

Day off to me but DS has a friend coming round to play so will be like work anyway :rotfl: Plans for today are to finish tidying the garden, clean bathroom, put towels on to wash and to drink lots of coffee. Up in the night with DS so the tiredness continues ho hum.

Not sure about tea, didn't do the chicken dish we were supposed to be having tomorrow so I ought to make the effort and cook that today instead :o

Not much else to report. Hugs and spoons all round. Have a great day OS or not.

Tru - bring on the rebellion ;) xx

    Good morning fellow old stylers,

A miserable grey day here in cambs- think we had our sun in May and June! Today I've got so much too do and hope the motivation will come soon............ I really want to sit down and plan a menu on at least a 2 week rotation so I can budget better. I took my younger sister to Asda yesterday and although only wanted to get some biscuit decorating things for when I have my 8yo niece tomorrow I managed to spend £37.00!!!
I'm hoping to also make some bread rolls and loaves to freeze and maybe try making some flapjacks- the problem I have when making them is that they always turn out like concrete and never soft like the ones you buy (think bakinboys) why is this? anyone got a foolproof way of making them better? I'm also hoping to try and make twinks's hobnobs things- been meaning to for ages.

Oh well better go and attempt the 5 or so baskets of ironing I've got taking over my study/ironing/ sewing room.

    Have a fab day everyone

    empy x

p.s anyone know if there is a step by step book/ webguide to using a sewing machine and making curtains and eventually making simple clothes- I've lots of beautiful curtain fabric that I would like to make into curtains for the winter and also loads of prima patterns that I would love to eventually use.

Not going to Brockenhurst now. Entry was £18 each
Trying to find something else for us to go to - want to mark 37th anniversary with an outing better than the local supermarket :rotfl::rotfl:

I have this book although I've not actually used it for any of the projects.

I had it from my cousin Belinda. She has 5 daughters (including twins) and had it as a home made poster on her bedroom door when they were young :rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi everyone,

I've not been able to read or post for a week because I had visitors.

I did go back and read your post Anniestar and I can only echo what other have said. Please keep talking or writing it down (not necessarily for public consumption, maybe just for Mark) because it does help. Hope the haircut goes well.

I went to Weightwatchers this morning and had lost another pound, which is a bit of an achievement considering I have been making puddings, we ate out one day and we had a barbecue. It was probably all the walking round London and Cambridge. We went to the Palace to see the dress - SIL and her friends had watched the wedding wearing hats so they were thrilled.

I'm off to MK this aft to get a sports bra from Bravissimo, I've been swimming two or three times a week but now I want to try a couple of classes.

Hope you all have a good day.
