Can you tell me the contact details of whoever you talked to/ sent letters to at Transport for London as I have found out the cheque number and payment details for the cheque I used to purchase my lost travelcard!

Hey, that is good news - hopefully they can trace it from that.

I'm afraid all that I can offer is that she was called Kate. Here's what I would do if I were you: call up and explain the situation. Explain very carefully that you want them to match the payment (i.e. your cheque) to an Oyster card number; you then want them to cancel that Oyster card and transfer whatever is on it to a new Oyster card.
