Verified by Visa - broken as usual

Hi all, I've just booked a holiday on-line and used my Visa card to pay for it. Got a pop-up asking to Verify by Visa.
After a bit of fumbling, eventually put in the correct bits of the password in the boxes. Sorry session timed out says the window. Repeat twice more, still timing out.
When closing windows to get back to the phone number, I find that the payment had been made.
Is it just me? I have never got Verified by Visa to work properly and usually have to phone the order through.

The trick is to never sign up to the wretched service in the first place. I did on one card and had nothing but trouble so I just stopped using that card and have always declined to sign up ever since. Same with banks offering Rapport - always decline that too.0

Which browser old son, mine works fine (mastercard) with FFox and noscript, but had to allow the verify site. Some extra UK sites don't work though eg Vueling, and a couple of days ago it was Homebase (but actually goes through Argos as the issuer )4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . The trouble is that there's no way to test VBV.0 -
If you are given the option NOT to sign up. :mad:kwikbreaks wrote: »The trick is to never sign up to the wretched service in the first place.
As for what to do - use Internet Explorer as invariably any other browser causes problems at some point.0 -

The first time it comes up you can decline it and you then have to keep declining it. Once you've accepted it you have to use it with that card forever after. It needs javascript to be active.alanrowell wrote: »If you are given the option NOT to sign up. :mad:0 -
Never had a problem with it and I use Firefox with NoScript. Just make sure you allow anything on the VBV webpage.
