Motoring Offences and Basic Disclosure

Hi there..
It looks very much like I am to be found guilty at Magistrates court of driving without due care and attention and running a red light in the very near future, and I was curious as to how this will appear on either a Subject Access Request or Basic Disclosure CRB check.
I've search the net EXHAUSTIVELY and seem to find conflicting reports. Some say that the offence will show, some not. Some say it can be removed after 4 or 5 years, some that it will be a permanent stain on my record.
As I work abroad and rely on a clear CRB to renew my working visa, I'm obviously a bit worried that what is, by all accounts, a minor motoring offence will to all intents and purposes end my career in Asia.
Am I being dramatic? Does anyone have direct experience of this situation? Opinions are all well and good, but I'm in need of facts.
Anyone been found guilty of driving withour due care and attention and subsequently obtained a CRB check?
Was it on there?
Thanks in advance for your replies!

It will show and you should declare it, but its unlikely to cause you any problem. My employer is a very high security employer and I didn't realise I had to declare points for speeding. They definately showed up but my employer didn't treat these as a criminal conviction as such and have had no impact on my international clearance.0

A basic disclosure check i done on myself showed no previous driving offences from 20 years ago.
A freedom of information act letter to the police did.
I'd like to think offences would show up on an enhanced disclosure, but I'm sure at the time I was curious it was only an employer that could carry this out.
The 5 years may be right, rehabilitation of offenders.0 -
Driving without due care and attention is NOT a criminal offence and shouldn't show up on disclosure from a standard CRB check. It may however, show up on an enhanced CRB check but should only be relevant if you are applying for a job that requires driving skills. Have a look at his thread http://forums.pepipoo.com/lofiversion/index.php/t32926.html0

I certainly hope this is the case, Hollie.. I have to appear at Magistrates Court and am more than a little intimidated, having never been in any kind of trouble previously!
All I need is a Basic Disclosure for my job, but am freaking out that this offence will show..0 -

Mine 100% showed up as I assumed it wouldn't so never declared it then was questioned on it by our security mob, sp50 with 4 points and court fine so I don't understand that. Apologies op unknown this might notbhelp but my speeding conviction definately came up0 -
Was yours an E-CRB or their own checks? i know if you work for the police they do their own checks as well, so if it's a high security play it might be more like SC that CRB..0

MOD or List X show up parking tickets.
As far as I'm aware CRB checks don't show.0 -
According to the site:
http://www.ddc.uk.net/about-disclosures/levels-of-disclosure
A basic disclosure should not show driving without due care.Basic Disclosures will show only current unspent criminal convictions held on the Police National Computer. They will generally not include motoring offences other than causing death by dangerous driving or driving with excess alcohol, unless the motoring offence is committed in conjunction with other more serious criminal offences. Police Cautions, Reprimands and Warnings become spent immediately so will not be included.0
