Please tell me how to download Gimp onto my computer as I seem to be having trouble. I have windows XP

I just downloaded the main install file without problems. In fact with my new whizzy 8Mb broadband it took about 10 seconds!
To answer the other question, yes you must install the GTK+ 2 runtime environment and install it before installing GIMP.0 -
Still wont download for me is there another free site that I could use as I would like to get the old photos cleaned up for Aunt and Uncles Diamond Wedding on saturday thanks0

There's been another thread on free photo editors running on this forum over the last couple of days

I would have a look at that and try say Irfanview or PhotoPlus. You'll probably find they will do the job if you have a deadline. Go back to the GIMP later if you are not happy with these. HTH0 -
Finally managed to download Gimp just have to work out how to import my scanned photos to it0
