Any way to tax car without reminder or log book?

I can't do that as my insurance certificate is in storage too (I know, I know). The whole car file went in instead of being kept out.Anna :beer:0

when you check the current MOT status of your car online you either use the MOT reference number or the reference number off the log book... I've not checked cos i'm not sure where my details are....... but if you check with your MOT reference number, there's a tiny possibility that it might have the V5 reference on the page too.0

i would ask the cost first mind as it might not be small0 -
Our stuff is in storage, and stupidly forgot to take out the log book and/or reminder!
I sat down to tax it with the reminder before everything went into storage and realised it needed an MOT, and now I've got the MOT I haven't got the bloody reminder grrrr.
It's going to be really difficult (and expensive) for us to access out stuff, am I just going to have to bite the bullet?
You can do it online, but you I think need the document number from the V5 or the reminder. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

Why don't go to your storage facility and get the documents? The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

I don't know how much that would cost (why on Earth would it cost anything?), but if you look at the cost of the V5-£25.00, the possible fine for not having a valid RFL disc on the car-£200. Would it really be more expensive to access ones belongings? The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
