Talk Talk rant!!

I keep getting calls form Talk Talk and last night I had an argument with the sales guy who for some reason put me onto his manager when I wouldn't commit to changing to them!

First of all, I was with Freedom to Surf as a very happy customer. This then changed to Tiscalli, then Opal and now its been taken over by Talk Talk Business.

I have no problems with my connection, its reliable and good speed.

I use Talk Talk for my phone as I need unlimited international calls to Canada and the package I get suits me fine.

Talk Talk call me every other week to try and perusade me to change to them for my broadband. The one last night actually said that I'm already with them (as I'm with Talk talk business) and its exactly the same connection I would just save money by switiching to them. Why don't I want to save money, he asked me!

I called TTB and they told me its not the same connection at all and that as I'm part of TTB I get a priority line over TT customer's and this is the reason (I'm assuming) I don't have connection problems unlike the thousands of people who complain about TT

I'm fed up with the calls from TT, but it has got me thinking, who is right???

Anyone in this sitution?

Thanks
I love a bargain and saving money! I don't have any debts and mortgage repaid in 2020

I don't know if it's the same product or not but next time they call and say it is ask when you will be getting your backdated refund for the overcharging....

If I receive an unwanted call from any organisation I simply put the phone down to one side and let them carry on talking without me answering until the phone goes dead. That way it's cost them money and gives me a warm feeling inside.
    It's someone else's fault.

Talktalk business are right; even though their service runs over the same opal network as residential TT customers , the business service gets priority on the exchange...you also don't get any form of throttling applied on your service. Stick with your business connection!

Thank you for explaining that to me. I pay £15 per month for unlimited 'decent speed' internet which I don't think is too bad. (I don't have a business, just personal use)

I know I can get it for less with TT or PlusNet but I don't want to risk it. I'll stick with what I've got. Will ask TT to take me off their marketing list, don't want any more calls from them!

Even if you did want to move to their residential service, you couldn't do so directly (they're telling you porkies if they say you can). You would have to move your line to BT first and then move to TT residential...some procedure applies vice versa. Obviously not worth the hassle.
