Uk => Spain txts

Hi
My daughter is txting her pal who is on her hols in Spain and vice versa. Daughter is on BB contract with Tesco mobile (inc free txts) and nothing extra is showing up on her online bill even 2 days later. So far so good. Not sure of her pal's phone/provider/tariff but will her pal be getting stung both ways for every txt?

Mobile Roaming: Use your phone abroad for free

Incoming texts don't cost anything to him and are coming from your daughter's monthly allowance.
He will pay roaming price for outgoing texts.

Even in the EU where costs are capped, it's still about 10p/min to receive calls. It's free to receive texts anywhere worldwide though, so ask friends to message, not call. While it costs around 50p to reply outside the EU, condense the message (lrn 2 spk txt) and it's still quite cheap. Don't get into a conversation though.

Does this not imply it's free to txt both ways (although I would be very surprised if this is the case..!!!)

It's free to receive texts overseas, but it costs to send them from overseas. Cost depends on location and mobile tariff.

Thx folks. Think her pal is PAYG so it will probably all become pretty clear pretty soon lol
