Anyway I emailed Toysrus and a nice lady called us straightaway staying although the car park is owned by a landlord they will contact them on our behalf and ask them to waiver it.

***Received a letter from Parking Eye saying that the 'charge has now been cancelled' Yay. After hearing feedback from the parking forum it looks as though me getting in touch with Toysrus directly had the desired effect as appealing usually doesn't work.***
    Good result.
The Range on the other hand just say that their car park is privately owned and they have no control over what happens.
And it takes them over 3 weeks to come up with that excuse.
  • Not sure what Toys R Us are doing these days. Our local has zero staff in it or at least it seems that way. I used to buy my Baby items there but now they don't have the service or the prices. The Supermarkets provide the same service (i.e not a lot) but at cheaper prices.

    Shame.

Having just visited our local READING Toys r us and spent £100 with them (have receipts etc), we have now had a lovely £75 fine for parking for too long in their car park. Nice set of photos to prove it.

    2hr limit

    time taken, 2.20 mins.

    OUTRAGEOUS.

They are going to revoke it apparently but I am so incensed that we are returning all the goods.

Never ever ever shopping there again.
You are an idiot if you really did take it all back because of this!
