My 1 year old cat has been suffering with diarrhea since last Tuesday, I took him to the vets on Saturday who checked his temperature, which was fine, and noticed he had slightly sore gums, so she did a blood test for leukaemia etc and that came back fine. Glad things are "firming up".

I've not had a cat with colitis but our old dog suffered (and I do too!).

You should be able to control it reasonably well with diet - have a chat with your vet about what to try and then it's a case of trial and error until you find something that works for him (it can vary from animal to animal same as person to person).
