T-mobile unlimited internet offer
On T-mobile's website, when you pay £25 per month or more for a contract before 30th September, they will give you unlimited internet with no fair usage policy:
"Join us instore, online or over the phone on a 24 month pay monthly plan costing at least £25 a month and you'll get unlimited internet on your phone included in your plan at no extra cost".
When I look at the phones4u website, when considering the Samsung Galaxy S II, under T-mobile's tariff, the following details are present for their Data 600 plan - 24 Months (£25.53):
600 mins 500 texts Data Bundle included as Flexible Booster - changeable every 30 days
No mention is made of the unlimited internet options here - only the data bundle booster is mentioned.
However, on the t-mobile website, when looking at a similar contract, Unlimited internet is specifically noted.
My question is: does anyone know if this unlimited internet deal is only available when ordering directly through the t-mobile website, and not through 3rd parties such as phones4u.
Many thanks.

Thank you. Just to confirm, when you say direct channels - do you mean ordering directly through the T-mobile website.0 -

Website
Telesales
Retail store
DO NOT GO INTO CHITTER CHATTER OR FONEHOUSE
they brand themselves like the network and tell you they do the exact same deals but they don't
oh if you phone Telesales or go into a retail store you can get Truly Unlimited data on 18month plans from £30+0 -
I must disagree here, I got my T-mobile contract with an i-phone from Chitter Chatter and I have unlimited internet (also unlimited free calls and unlimited free texts). Before you ask, yes, I work for a bank, but no, I didn't get a bonus!0

I was told by a t-mobile rep, that the unlimited is for direct sales only.
Note that it is for the life of the contract, not until 30th September.
I made sure I downloaded the terms & conditions.
Also beware that t-mobile cap data speeds to just 0.35Mbps on third party contracts.0 -
Interesting...thanks to all who have replied so far.
When considering £25 per month, Phones4u get me more minutes for £5 less than tmobile (and pay less upfront for the phone itself).
However the t-mobile website offers this unlimited internet (with less minutes and a greater upfront phone cost).
I suppose my question is, if I didn't have the unlimited internet, and went with phones4u: Am I likely to eat up 500mb per month on the samsung galaxy s2 - my phone use habits include: constant facebook checking, checking 3 e-mail accounts, using maps to navigate when walking around in London. I don't stream youtube videos or music.
Choices.....0 -
No you won't get through 500mb, unless you're watching videos, streaming music, radio etc.. or uploading/downloading large images.
General FB, email and google maps will be fine with 500mb0 -

It's not truly unlimited internet its 500MBs with Unlimited web browsing, read the T&Cs and not what they tell you0 -
I have the normal Android 'Web n Walk Plus' on t-mobile and it is also unlimited but with a FUP of 500Mb/month. From what I can tell if you go over your limit (by a large margin) then they may restrict your download speed between 4pm and midnight until the end of the month, but you can still browse the web check emails etc. With google maps you can enable caching in the labs options and download any maps you need for offline usage, so just do that at home with your wifi before you go anywhere special.
Unless you stream music or videos constantly then the unlimited internet offer is not worth the extra.0 -
I get (got !!) 300 txts, 300 minutes and unlimited mobile internet for £15.78 (inc vat) per month on a pay per month contract - with Tmobile !!0
