Very worried mum/Housing benefit claim

Err, everyone is missing the point here. They won't care less if your wages were being paid into your account or not. That isn't what they are looking for - why would they?! If anything, the less money going into your account the better, as it might mean more benefit!
They are just checking you don't have loads of money going into your account from undeclared sources, or loads of savings, or anything like that. The people in my life: Betty Crocker, Mr. T and Gordon (of Gordon's gin) :T0 -

I think everyone has grasped that!
The point is, if the OP cannot produce statements for the required period, they may assume she has a hidden bank account with lots of money in it and is just saying it was paid to her mum's account to cover her tracks!0 -
Same thing happened to my daughter, she moved address, lost her bank card and the bank wouldnt give her a new one untill she showed utility bills for her new address, she has a key meter for her gas and electricity, and didnt have a council tax bill as she had just moved in, she doesnt drive or own a passport so was bascialy knackered for proof of address, she had her child benefit, CTC and income support paid into my account.
When she applied for HB they asked for bank statements and when she told them what had happened and couldnt provide any, they did ask to see mine, I was happy to show them and Im glad I did in a way as I claim HB and they said when it was time for a review and they had looked at my statements they would have started an investigation as I had money going into the account which I hadnt declared! They would have suspended my payments untill they investigation was over and it had been explained to their satisfaction. But after I showed them my statements for my daughters claim and explained what the extra payments were they were satisfied that I wasnt stashing any money and put a note on their system so I wouldnt get investigated when the time came.
Shes sorted now but it took around 6 months to get everything she needed to get a new bank card.0 -

And, of course, who knows what other money she may have had going into mum's account as well!0 -
Thanks for the comments, I do not have any other payment going onto my mums account!!! I can provide bank statements for the last six month, just wont have my salary going in there. I have started having my salary put in there now so it will show on the last statement. I have all wage slips and proof of other incomings such as tax credits and childbenefit.0

I never said you did but if they don't see your mum's bank statements, how could you prove that?0 -

And people wonder why this place is losing users...
Perhaps you two should have this out in private (or broadcast on the Internet, with or without babyoil...), instead of hi-jacking threads from people seeking advice? The Benefits & Tax Credits Board aka The Welfare & Judgement Board0 -
