Not even remotely a good night of the year for me.
Ahhhh. :grouphug: You sound down in the dumps scottish.
Maybe you've had a bad year. If so, try to think positive - a whole new year starts tomorrow:grouphug: And you've got your holiday to look forward to in Sept.
If you feel lonely - surf the forums here, lots of friendly people!!!!!
I'm on my own and will be staying in also - by choice.
Was married to an entertainer, hated NYE, going to clubs and havin' p*ssed total strangers grabbing/kissing at midnight.
Not a total bah humbug though, got my bottle of Asti!!
Will open my back door at midnight and hopefully hear the ships on the Mersey sound their hooters - if they're not drowned out by fireworks. Telly is rubbish, so will come back to MSE later.
Cheers all. Wish you all a prosperous 2007:grouphug: A smile, a 'please' and a 'thank you' cost nothing0 -

...you can come round here if you like, I've got enough snacks, dips, crisps, chocolate to keep us going until next year. Sorry, no booze though, just Irn Bru, not really a drinker.

I'll probably go to bed early, I can't abide all the choocter music etc that is on the box on Hogmanay. The weather is horrible to be out in anyway, best to stay in and keep warm.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.” - Oscar Wilde0 -

We're staying in too.....I'm slowly recovering from a nasty dose of flu and not up to joining my friends in whatever smoky club they're in, so it's just me and OH and the telly.
I'm about to cook a yummy dinner of baked salmon, misc veg and rosemary & garlic baby new spuds.......
.....and we have a lovely chilled bottle of bubbly ready to see in the New Year which I will happily share with anyone else indoors tonight. Just pass over your glasses.....
......may 2007 be happy and healthy for everyone!0 -

We were going to stay in and let DD1(10) and DD2(6) stay up to do the party poppers at midnight. But our neighbour who lives about 15 yards away has invited us (and some of the other neighbours) to 'a bit of a do' at her place. So I reckon we'll manage the 'long' journey over there and then stagger back soon after midnight.:rotfl:0

I am. It'll be just me, the husband and a bottle of champagne or two. Very cosy!0

Another one staying in. Weather is terrible and as we've spent our first married Christmnas driving between two families 250 miles apart for Christmas Eve/Christmas/Boxing day etc, we are looking forward to just being at home with the dog. We have a bottle of Moet that someone gave us as a wedding present so we'll make good use of it tonight!Proud to be Dealing with my Debts:D
