Big Issue sellers & intimidation tactics.A rant!

Chichester is strictly Albanian for BI sellers its seems.
Quite common, lots of Eastern European gangs take over the sales of the Big Issue in certain areas and drive the native sellers out.It must be accepted as a principle that the rifle cannot replace the speed of the horse, the magnetism of the charge and the terror of cold steel.

Big Issue sellers, Chuggers, Religious Freaks etc are a pain in the butt !
I do not acknowledge them at all, they either get out of my way or I walk through them or over them, their choice !0 -
I just tell them I have mine delivered.0

hardly see any in glasgow any more but a lot of beggars, who generally are polite
When you decline to give them any change they apologise for bothering you and wish you a nice day, to which i normally respond with,
"thanks, you too" before feeling like an idiot. Its just instinct. I cant stop it coming out.0 -

Nothing wrong with BI sellers (legit ones) - at least they are trying to do something to earn money rather than simply beg...and learning some very basic selling skills for future...
Your attitude is not very pleasant.0 -

I remember years ago when we were only 16 / 17 up in princess street a BI seller tried to get us to buy one, we wern't rude or anything just said no thanks to which he shouted nasty comments to be friend who is slighty heavy.
We used to have a BI seller outside my work (shop) he used to tell us how much he could make in just a couple of hours, he used to make more money than us in the shop working.0 -

And being able only to say 'Big Issuse' and 'Thank you' doesn't count.0
