I shouldn't feed your ego but what the hell.
My comment, which is agreed by others, is that "unlimited" should mean just that.
If that is living in "cloud cuckoo land" ............0 -

It should..........It doesn't..................................but it is deemed to be fair according to ASA/Ofcom.
No one in their right mind will disagree with you, but in this mad world, some things you need to accept till they change. You originally said that someone should challenge it, but with the authority giving it the ok, it would be a waste of time.0 -

Are you going to report back on here and explain once you have "investigated the matter" why it is always the case that you don't reply to letters or emails and are kept on hold waiting to speak to someone ???It's not just about the money0 -
Hi Mobiles.co.uk Representative and thanks for replying. I have just emailed you my details and would really appreciate it if you could look into it.
Thanks also for all of the other responses from others - I'll be sure to post the resolution!0 -

If we all accept things we disagree with without complaint, the world would be a sorrier place than it is now.0 -

Pressed "Thanks" instead of "Quote" there, Bob.
No one on here disagrees about your point re the word unlimited - at least I don't think so.
However, taking the last point you have made, you are making the classic mistake of confusing moaning with achievement.
If you want to complain with an objective of getting something changed, rather than simply moan, then why not write to ASA and Ofcom demanding why they have changed the meaning of the word "unlimited" from when you were at school? Take some positive action.
As you said, the word "unlimited" means exactly that i.e. "without any limit, no defined limit"0 -
The way they seem to be getting away with it is - "unlimited up to".
So it's unlimited up to 500mb, but it is still capped within allowance (or fair-play usage).
Crazy!!!!!!!!!
I think it will go "virtually" unlimited soon, though I suppose there has to be a sensible cap somewhere.
Maybe the monthly rate for this will increase to enable this??

And you my friend have made the classic mistake of assuming I am moaning and not taking any action.0
