Want to go on the ferry in August 2007, has anyone done this before? D o you know when is the best time to book for the best bargain?

We got a quote from P&O portsmouth to bilbao outward then returning calais to dove 4 adults 1 car,4 berth window cabin outbound.Total price £380 using tesco clubcard vouchers the price is £95.

I'm also pricing up UK-Spain by car ferry, any route (we're heading for Valencia via Madrid) must be cheap. So far the cheapest I've found is £519!! (2 persons + car, rtn, last 2 weeks of July).

Anyone got any ideas? Ideally need to get this down to £200-£300 or it's Easyjet instead!
