It was getting tough in 2006 and the workhouse still threatens us in 2011

She is probably camped in your garden if you look closely!
Would this be the right time to mention we have had wind but it was a lovely sunny evening??
Nail the chooks down up North you lot or they will be flying away :rotfl:0 -

At least my Kale will be safe.
My hens have been locked in their run all day which never happens. It's no great hardship for them as it's 12'x8' and roofed but they squawked all day long. I felt sorry for them so they had warm porridge for tea.0 -

In our corner of Scotland we have had a warmish day only spoilt by the rain, which wasn't as much as we thought there would be....and no wind at all! Hubs thought maybe we are in the eye of the storm. Happen we will get it tomorrow.
DD dragged me out to the shops (kicking and screaming....not!) and we were very suprised to get some lovely clothes bargains in t*sco. They must have been getting rid of old stock or summat, cos I got a jacket was £30 - £1; matching skirt £1 and 3 other skirts for £1 each. Don't know why they are on sale as they are lovely materials and bang on with style! They also had tops for 20-50p and also some kiddies clothing. Makes a change me being in the right place at the right time! I don't know how wide spread this sale is, weren't in the place with the main clothes but where the kiddies back to school uniforms were. Hope that helps someone.0 -
I hope you are all safely tucked up for the evening. It's been windy here but we've actually had a sunny day, amazing. Did two loads of washing this afternoon and it all dried on the line, though I do admit to having to repeg from time to time to stop things flying off into the wide blue yonder. DH has just told me his sister has just signed up to 'strap yourself to a sheep to avoid the N Wales hurricane'. At least humour is still alive and well

Welcome back Greyqueen and I'm so glad you're returned safely to us. A dead Landie!!!:eek::eek: Looking forward to hearing all the gory details. When DS2 did his basic training in the RAF he was the only one who ended up in hospital. They're like a magnet to him, worrying lad that he is.
Jamanda what a lovely Dad you have to get you such a smashing prezzie. I hope it gives you many years of fantastic jam, and I'm sure your Dad was delighted by your happiness.
What an interesting weekend you had Rosanna. Feeling decidedly decrepit being the owner of two darning mushrooms, though I'm sure I'm not the only one on here."It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life, gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are." Unknown0 -

'Tis emptyish now.
Can someone please talk me out of spending money please?I got a £10 gift voucher from a well known catalogue company today to try to lure me back as a customer. It's impossible to find anything for £10 but I am seeing lots of things for much more than that and trying to justify why I should buy them or it's a waste of my voucher.
:rotfl: If I spend £100 I will get another £20 off. Very clever marketing ploy Mr B*den.
Must. Step. Away. From. Computer.
Edit: Hands up to having a darning mushroom too. :hello:0 -
